As company president Michael Gallup said, “Nanne joins us at a time when the regulatory environment in healthcare is in a major state of flux. The experience she brings with her will be invaluable to TeleTracking and its clients, along with clients yet to be.”
She will be leading the most experienced team of consultants in the patient flow segment, all seasoned nurse administrators with a history of successfully combining process redesign with automated technology.
Nanne had been executive director of solutions services for Joint Commission Resources (JCR), which is a non-profit affiliate of The Joint Commission. She took on that role in 2003.
In that position, she led U.S. consulting efforts involving the challenges of maintaining patient safety and quality issues while adopting new technologies, infection prevention and control, medication safety, and the physical environment in which care is delivered. Her group also prepared clients for The Joint Commission accreditation process and she launched JRC’s global Safe Health Design ™ program, which helped design patient safety improvements into the construction of new healthcare facilities.
She oversaw the JCR Hospital Engagement Network, part of the Partnership for Patients campaign funded by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services which, among other goals, is striving to reduce hospital-acquired conditions by 40% and unplanned readmissions by 20% by the end of 2013.
Before that, Nanne spent 22 years at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and was the hospital’s executive director from 1979 to 2003. The experience she gained at one of the nation’s top academic medical centers and the most widely recognized U.S. healthcare accrediting organization will have a significant impact in what we offer our clients today and tomorrow.
