The morning continued with an emphasis on listening.  Focus groups, research session and interactive sessions were designed to determine customers priorities, how TeleTracking can collaborate to solve challenges and what they’d like see in the future.

There was also time for everyone to take in the very popular Command Center, featuring four scenarios―a patient with a pre-scheduled procedure and a planned post-acute placement; a pediatric patient visiting a clinic admitted for a 23-hour observation stay; a patient diagnosed with a STEMI in the ED of a community hospital that requires transfer to a tertiary care facility; and a call from County 911 Emergency Services Center of a mass-casualty bus crash and the arrival of 50 patients.

In addition, the Innovation Lab was available for a second day to provide customers with the opportunity to share information with TeleTracking patient flow experts. And Technical Support was there to answer questions.

We were also listening when TeleCon16 attendees said they wanted to have more advanced workshops.  Tuesday afternoon was dedicated to immersive, hands-on learning opportunities, including:

  • Transfer Center Deep Dive
  • Maximizing Patient Throughput
  • Utilizing Data to Drive Change and Positive Patient Flow Outcomes
  • Standardizing Patient Flow Practices Across an Enterprise
  • Managing Discharge Efficiency (levels I &II)

Tammy Moore, Vice President, Client Success Management again delivered the closing remarks, which included recognition 2.0 of health systems that were featured in Patient Flow Quarterly™ over the course of the year—Derick Ziegler and Katie Morrissette [Baptist Memorial Health Care], Janet Hanley [Sharp HealthCare] and Susan Kilgore and Nancy Niski-Martin [Methodist Healthcare].

We wrapped up the day with another opportunity to take in the Command Center with a casual networking happy hour.
