St. Joseph Hospital is a 463 bed Catholic nonprofit hospital located in Orange County, CA (part of St. Joseph Health System which is a 15 hospital system).  Hospital leadership knew something had to be done to address left without being seen, ED diversions, delayed patient discharges, etc. in order to streamline care.

In this episode you’ll hear from Carmen Ferrell, Executive Director of Nursing, and Paul Anthony Tuccio, IT Operations Manager, and their unique collaboration to improve the metrics above.  In less than two years they’ve drastically moved the needle – improving discharge times, LWBS, bed turn times, readmission rates and patient satisfaction scores.
