TeleTracking proudly recognizes client hospitals’ significant Magnet Designation achievement!

The Magnet Recognition Program® was launched in the early 1990s by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. It recognizes healthcare organizations for quality patient care, nursing excellence and innovations in professional nursing practice.

Developed by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)– Magnet recognition is one of the most significant achievements a healthcare organization can receive for nursing excellence.  The first Magnet hospital was designated in 1994. Today, more than 300 hospitals in the country hold this honor.

Magnet designated healthcare organizations notice benefits such as:

•    Attracting and retaining top talent
•    Improving patient care, safety and satisfaction
•    Fostering a collaborative culture
•    Advancing nursing standards and practice
•    Growing your business and financial success

Healthcare organizations that have achieved Magnet Designation focus on three primary goals:

•    Promote quality in a setting that supports professional practice
•    Identify excellence in the delivery of nursing services to patients/residents
•    Disseminate best practices in nursing services.

What makes us at TeleTracking particularly proud is that the majority of Magnet designated hospitals utilize TeleTracking solutions to support nursing excellence and better manage patient flow. We trust it’s no small coincidence.

Nursing leadership is always a key stakeholder in the selection of TeleTracking at our client facilities.  Much of that decision is based on time and associated impacts to patient care.   When you’re a nurse, there never seems to be enough time – especially for patients.

An automated hospital operations platform gives you instant updates on patient status, location and bed availability so you know exactly what is happening with your patients.   The result is easier input and monitoring of bed and transport requests, discharge status and critical patient placement indicators (PPIs) such as isolation or fall risk.   You now have the ability to plan, prepare and manage the entire patient flow continuum – Every patient discharge, bed cleaning and bed request is immediately entered, updated and visible.

But the most compelling reason our clients explore automated patient flow solutions is the impact better flow has on patient care in general. It reduces overcrowding, which reportedly denies “best practice” care to over half of all U.S. patients, causes medical errors and has been linked to hospital-acquired infection.

TeleTracking’s list of Magnet designed hospitals is nearly 200 strong! So, to all our Magnet designated clients, our hat’s off to you.  We are proud to be part of your institution by bringing innovation and improvement to patient throughput process improvements.

Congratulations on your role in leading the reformation of health care, the discipline of nursing, and care of the patient, family, and community!

We are happy to share our complete list of TeleTracking clients that are Magnet Designated Hospitals with interested hospitals and health systems.  To request the list, click here and we’ll send it along!
