Living the Mission—Day Two of TeleCon19

Living the mission was brought to life on Day Two of TeleCon19 with a video showcasing Kettering Health Network’s state-of-the-art health system command center and the dedicated staff that were involved in its creation. Kris Kaneta, Senior Vice President of Marketing, as part of his welcome recognized the accomplishment if bringing 9 hospitals online as an enterprise, and the positive impact the center is having on the health system, patients and community.  

The main stage speakers began with William Brady, Senior Adviser to the Secretary, Chief of Staff to the Deputy Secretary at U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Brady―who advised on policy and program matters with a focus on strategy and policy development related to innovation, deregulation and healthcare financing―spoke about the agencies’ mission to enhance and protect the health and well-being of all Americans. 

Jeanne Iasella, VP, Solutions, took the stage next and provided an overview of TeleTracking’s vision for the future—reiterating that everything begins with our mission and must eliminate the delays that stand between a patient and clinician and/or give time back to clinicians so they can spend more time with patients.

This also means that our mission extends to the entire care continuum because the full model of effective patient flow must be home-to-home—and there are dozens of people dedicated to the design and development of solutions to make this a reality. 

In the short-term, we are focused on migrating our solutions to the cloud, launching Synapse IQ with adaptive intelligence capabilities, and developing additional command center capabilities.  

Jeanne also recognized TeleTracking’s health system command center class of 2018/19! Adding additional depth to TeleTracking’s health system command center experience, the Care Traffic Control Certified™ program was unveiled. Care Traffic Control Certified™ is designed to foster collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement by establishing standards and benchmarks to determine the operational maturity of a health system command center. At the same time, it creates a framework to facilitate knowledge-sharing and eventually will be a way to recognize the industry’s most advanced centers.  

The day also included breakout sessions and boot camps presented by TeleTracking staffers and clients from Northwell Health, Health First, University of Louisville Hospital and Washington Regional Medical Center.
