If you’re attending AONE 2014 this March in Orlando, stop by the TeleTracking booth to say hello to Nanne Finis and Susan Whitehurst, who both joined us recently from Joint Commission Resources, Inc. (the wholly owned affiliate of The Joint Commission).

Nanne is now vice president of TeleTracking’s Consulting Services group, and Susan is the group’s managing director.

Nanne was executive director of solutions services at Joint Commission Resources. She has extensive experience in preparing hospitals to meet rigorous patient quality and safety requirements under ever-changing health reform and regulatory policies.

She’s also been a leader in the patient-safety movement with a special focus on how to safely adopt technologies such as Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOEs) and electronic health records (EHRs). Before joining Joint Commission Resources, she was executive director of Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

At TeleTracking, she leads an experienced consulting team of nurses and former administrators with in-hospital knowledge of how to redesign processes and to improve operations while implementing capacity management technology.

Susan is a Lean Management process expert and certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt. She focuses on incorporating Lean principles with TeleTracking’s solutions to improve processes which reduce wasted time and inefficiencies in hospitals.

She joined Joint Commission Resources in 2008 after a long career as an intensive care nurse and administrator at Duke University Medical Center. At Joint Commission Resources, she was project manager for the C.M.S. Partnership for Patients Campaign.

Her Lean Management experience ideally complements TeleTracking’s ongoing goal of improving the operational efficiency of hospitals and health systems by automating the services which support care delivery. She’s especially adept at showing administrators the high cost of delivering care poorly and showing them how process improvement can reverse the problem.

Joining them will be Joy Avery, a member of the TeleTracking family who is well known to our client community. Joy is a registered nurse and former TeleTracking consultant who now serves as vice president of clinical strategy, where her duties include directing our “Luminary Site” program.

She joined TeleTracking in 2008 following a long career at North Mississippi Medical Center (NMMC), where her list of accomplishments included direction of specialized clinical services, development of the trauma program and development and implementation of the institution’s transfer center. Her contributions helped NMMC win the coveted Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.

In her new TeleTracking role, she seeks out client hospitals which epitomize leadership in healthcare with regards not only to quality care, but the efficient delivery of that care. These “Luminary Sites” share their success stories regarding TeleTracking solutions with other clients and prospective clients.

Also on hand at AONE will be Paige Patterson, from the University of Colorado Hospital, a TeleTracking client. Paige will be doing a poster session on the role patient flow automation played in saving all of the 22 wounded patients from the Aurora, CO mass shooting who were treated there after the incident.

Nanne, Susan, Paige, and Joy will be at Booth 213 in the Orange County Convention Center. Stop and say hello.
